Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following ready:

  • A Zoom account β€” Free or paid Zoom account works
  • A Nexvio account β€” Sign up at app.nexvio.ai if you don't have one
  • At least one active Nexvio project β€” You need a project created and active in Nexvio
  • Zoom Desktop Client installed β€” Required to use the app inside Zoom (connection setup can be done from any browser, but the app itself runs inside Zoom Desktop Client)

Adding the App

Follow these steps to connect your Zoom account to Nexvio.

Step 1: Find Nexvio on Zoom Marketplace

  1. Go to marketplace.zoom.us and sign in with your Zoom account
  2. Search for "Nexvio" in the search bar at the top of the page
  3. Click the Nexvio app listing to view details
  4. Click the "Add" or "Install" button
  5. Zoom will redirect you to its OAuth authorization page

Step 2: Authorize Nexvio on Zoom

Zoom displays a consent screen listing the permissions Nexvio is requesting. See the Permissions section below for details on each permission.

  1. Review the permissions requested on the consent screen
  2. Click "Allow" to authorize Nexvio to access your Zoom account
  3. Zoom will redirect your browser to the Nexvio Dashboard

Step 3: Log In to Nexvio (If Needed)

If your Nexvio session has expired, you will be prompted to sign in.

  1. Sign in with your Nexvio email and password
  2. If your organization uses SSO, use your SSO credentials
  3. After signing in, you will be automatically redirected to the connection screen

Step 4: Connect Your Zoom Account to a Project

The Nexvio Dashboard displays the Connect Zoom Account consent screen.

  1. Verify the project β€” Check that the correct Nexvio project is selected in the project switcher (top-left). This is the project that will be linked to your Zoom account.
  2. Review the listed permissions
  3. Click "Connect Zoom Account" to link your Zoom account to the selected Nexvio project

Note: If you click Cancel, no connection is made and you can restart from Step 1.

Step 5: Open the App in Zoom

  1. After a successful connection, your browser may automatically open the Zoom Desktop Client via a deep link
  2. If Zoom Desktop Client does not open automatically:
    • Open Zoom manually
    • Go to Apps in the left sidebar
    • Launch Nexvio from your installed apps
  3. The Nexvio app will load inside Zoom and you are ready to use it

Removing the App

You can remove the Nexvio Zoom App connection at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option A: Disconnect from Nexvio Dashboard

  1. Sign in to your Nexvio Dashboard at app.nexvio.ai
  2. Go to Connections in the left sidebar
  3. Find the Zoom integration card
  4. Click Disconnect (or Remove)
  5. Confirm the action when prompted

The Zoom app inside the Zoom Desktop Client will no longer have access to your Nexvio project. You can reconnect at any time by following the Adding the App steps above.

Option B: Uninstall from Zoom Marketplace

  1. Go to marketplace.zoom.us and sign in
  2. Click your profile icon β†’ "Manage"
  3. Under "Added Apps", find Nexvio
  4. Click "Remove" next to the Nexvio app
  5. Confirm the removal

When you uninstall via Zoom Marketplace, Zoom sends a deauthorization notification to Nexvio. Nexvio will automatically disconnect your Zoom account as if you had done it from the Dashboard.

Your Data & Privacy

We are committed to protecting your data. Here is what happens to your data when you remove the app.

What data Nexvio accesses

  • Your Zoom profile (name, email address, Zoom user ID)
  • Meeting creation capabilities (for the Schedule Meeting feature)

Nexvio does NOT access meeting recordings, call content, or your Zoom contacts list.

What data Nexvio stores

  • Your Zoom user ID, email, and display name
  • OAuth access/refresh tokens (encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM)

What happens when you disconnect or uninstall

  • OAuth tokens are immediately invalidated and zeroed out from our database
  • Your Zoom user ID and display name are deleted from Nexvio's records
  • Support tickets you created while connected are retained (they belong to your Nexvio project, not to the Zoom connection)

Zoom deauthorization

When you remove the app from Zoom Marketplace, Zoom notifies Nexvio via a webhook. Nexvio processes this notification and immediately removes your Zoom credentials.

Data sharing

No data is shared with third parties for the purpose of the Zoom integration.

If you want all ticket data removed, contact Nexvio support at [email protected].

Permissions Nexvio Requests

During authorization, Nexvio requests the following permissions. Here is why each is needed:

Permission Why Nexvio needs it
View your profile information user:read To display your name and email inside the Nexvio Zoom app, and to link your Zoom identity to your Nexvio account
Zoom App access To run the Nexvio app panel inside the Zoom Desktop Client

These permissions are used only to connect your account and run the Zoom app; Nexvio does not use them for unrelated purposes.
